Creating A Sticker Pack
You can design your own stickers and bundle them into an app for release on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After your app goes live, users will be able to download and install it to access your stickers in WhatsApp.
It’s important to ensure that your WhatsApp stickers are legal, authorized, and appropriate. For more details on acceptable usage, please refer to our Terms of Service.
We offer sample apps and code for both Android and iOS platforms, allowing you to easily insert your sticker designs and create an app with little to no coding experience.
For those with advanced skills, there are options to develop more complex sticker apps using the APIs and interfaces supported by WhatsApp. Be sure to check the requirements listed below for designing your stickers, and consult the README files linked to the sample apps for additional guidance and tips.
Please note that when developing an iOS sticker app, it’s essential to create a distinct user interface (UI) and avoid using the UI from our sample apps to comply with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
Your custom stickers must adhere to the following specifications:
– Each sticker should have a transparent background.
– Stickers must be precisely 512×512 pixels in size.
– Each sticker file should be under 100 KB.
– Include an icon for your sticker pack that will appear in the WhatsApp sticker picker or tray. This icon should be 96×96 pixels and less than 50 KB.

In addition to these requirements, we highly recommend the following practices:
Stickers should be designed to look good on various backgrounds, including white, black, colored, and patterned. We suggest adding an 8-pixel #FFFFFF stroke around each sticker. You can view a sample Photoshop (PSD) file for reference.
Ensure there is a 16-pixel margin between the sticker image and the edge of the 512×512 pixel canvas.
