Sabarimala Online Ticket Booking
Sabarimala is attracting more and more devotees to view the magnificent ‘Ayyan Ayyappa,’ perched on the top of the hill. Sabarimala is a popular pilgrimage site for thousands of people, especially during Sabarimala and Makara Wickramasinghe Puja. Devaswom Board, Kerala Police and other agencies have struggled in the last few years due to the influx of devotees. Online booking is now mandatory in order to limit the amount of people visiting the temple every day. Devotees have expressed their anger after hearing about the situation, and there are protests in Kerala as well!
The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan chaired a review meeting that decided online booking was necessary in order to limit the number of pilgrims who visit Sabarimala at peak times. The Kerala government decided that this year, due to the Sabarimala Mandala Puja and Makaravilakku Yatra seasons, devotees will only be allowed through online booking. The Kerala government has announced that a daily limit of up to 80,000 people will be allowed.
Approval of providing facilities according to the requirements of the devotees
The Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple will open on the 16th November next month in conjunction with the Mandala, Makara Lampaku Season. The Sabarimala facilities were discussed. The devotees will receive warm and quality prasad, as well as appam. On days with a large crowd, devotees will have the opportunity to rest and stay in the facilities provided.
Security and parking arrangements for vehicles will also be enhanced
Additional security measures will be implemented on the forest trail. Nilakkal, Erumeli and other locations will have additional parking. By the end of the month, the ongoing maintenance on roads and parking lots leading to Sabarimala should be complete. The infrastructure and centers needed to manage traffic during rush hours will be established if necessary. Soon, the renovation of parking lots and roads leading to Sabarimala should be complete.
Controlling crowded environments Last year due to large numbers of devotees gathered at the same time, people were forced to wait 17-20 hours for darshan. This was the reason for this recommendation to prepare in advance all necessary arrangements. The Kerala High Court ordered that the Travancore Devaswom Board and the Kerala State Government make the necessary arrangements, but only 80,000 people are allowed to visit daily.

In the next zonal period, it is only permissible to allow devotees that book online
Last year devotees could book on the spot, but this will no longer be possible. The only way devotees can be admitted is if they book in advance online. Only 80,000 people should be permitted daily. Only then will crowding be prevented.
The route you choose is very important. Devotees are also advised to select the route when booking online for Darshan. Nilakkal, Erumeli and other places should have additional parking. Since online registration is now mandatory, those who don’t register will not be allowed to enter Sabarimala, even if they have visited Nilakkal or Erumeli, and must return home. Devotees who are going to Sabarimala must make reservations in the correct manner online.
This decision was not accepted by devotees or the general public. This is not acceptable to them. Some forums plan to hold protests to demand that the government withdraw its decisions. The online booking facility is not required for all sections of visitors to the temple. This new ban, they say, could also result in a situation that devotees from faraway places are not allowed to see the temple.
